We are not in the business of selling data. All screenshot processing happens locally in your browser. We never see or store your screenshots. We collect only basic account information for license management, payment confirmation, and daily quota enforcement. We do not track your browsing activity.

At ScrollSnap ("we", "us", "our"), we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This policy outlines our practices concerning the collection, use, and disclosure of your information.

1. Information We Collect

We collect minimal information to provide our services. The types of information we collect include:

Account Information: When you purchase a Pro Lifetime license, we collect your email address for payment confirmation, license lookup, and support.
License Information: Your license key, activation status, and activated device records are stored for license validation, support, and anti-abuse enforcement. License keys are shown on the completed checkout page and are not published on public pages outside that checkout flow.
Screenshots: All screenshot processing happens locally in your browser. We never see, store, or have access to your screenshots.
Usage Data: We may collect anonymous usage metrics (e.g., "number of captures taken") to improve app performance and enforce the 2-captures-per-day free limit.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used strictly for:

Providing, maintaining, and improving the Service.
Managing your Pro Lifetime license and free-tier usage limits.
Enforcing the 2-captures-per-day free quota and the 2-device activation limit for paid licenses.
Customer support and communicating with you about updates.
Processing payments through our secure payment provider (Stripe).

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We may share minimal data with trusted service providers who help us operate our business (e.g., Stripe for payments, Supabase for license management), strictly under confidentiality agreements. Your screenshots are never shared as they are processed entirely locally in your browser.

We implement industry-standard security measures, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest, to protect your data from unauthorized access. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.
